True Centrifugal Casting for Cylindrical Parts
In true centrifugal casting, molten metal is poured into a mould spinning about its own axis. The spin throws the metal against the mould wall, where it solidifies from the outside in and forms a hollow cylinder without a core. Lighter inclusions and gas collect toward the bore, where they are removed when the part is machined, leaving a dense, sound wall.
Anaya Enterprises uses the process for sleeves, bushes, liners, rings and other cylindrical components in carbon steel to ASTM, IS and EN grades, low alloy steel and high alloy steel, including wear-, heat- and corrosion-resistant grades. Check your part against our capacity before you send an RFQ.
Why Choose Centrifugal Casting
- Dense walls: solidification runs from the mould wall inward, giving a fine-grained wall with few inclusions.
- No core: the bore of a hollow part forms on its own.
- Less waste: a hollow blank needs far less machining than boring the same part from solid bar.
- Wear and pressure duty: suited to liners, sleeves, bushes and other parts that carry wear or pressure on their surfaces.
Bearings and Bushings
Our custom manufacturing team also makes bearings and bushings by centrifugal casting and sintering, including self-lubricating graphite bronze bushings. The same team machines castings to your drawings, so you can order a finished component rather than a raw casting.
What to Send With Your RFQ
- A drawing, sample or photos of the part
- The material grade and standard
- Outside diameter, bore and length, and the finished weight if known
- Quantity and when you need the parts delivered
