Heat Resistant Alloy Castings
For elevated-temperature service Anaya Enterprises casts the ASTM A297 H-series grades, the A351 heat-resistant grades HK-30, HK-40 and HT-30, and the A560 chromium-nickel alloys 50Cr-50Ni, 60Cr-40Ni and 50Cr-50Ni-Cb (IN657). We also cast Incoloy, Inconel and Nichrome for high-temperature applications. Minimum mechanical properties for each grade are in the grade table.
Our custom manufacturing team machines castings to your drawings, so you can order a finished component rather than a raw casting.
Reading an H-Series Grade
In the H-series, the H stands for heat resistant and the second letter rises through the alphabet as nickel content increases. HC and HD are iron-chromium grades with little nickel, HH and HK sit in the middle, and HT through HX are high-nickel grades. More nickel generally improves resistance to thermal cycling and carburisation.
Common Grades
- HH: about 25% chromium and 12% nickel, a widely used general-purpose grade for furnace parts.
- HK and HK-40: about 25% chromium and 20% nickel, long used for furnace tubes and high-temperature structural parts.
- HP: about 25% chromium and 35% nickel, with more creep strength and carburisation resistance than HK.
- HT and HU: high-nickel grades, about 35% and 39% nickel, for heat-treatment fixtures that cycle between hot and cold.
- 50Cr-50Ni (A560): resists fuel-ash corrosion in fired heaters and boilers, for tube supports and hangers.
Where Heat Resistant Castings Are Used
Typical parts include furnace rolls, trays, baskets and fixtures, radiant tubes, burner parts and tube supports in refinery and petrochemical heaters. See how we support oil & gas and power generation.
